Swiss Post donates 1 million and waives transfer fees
In the wake of the devastating earthquake which shook the island of Haiti, Swiss Post is donating CHF 1 million to the charity Swiss Solidarity. Furthermore, donations can be transferred to Haiti free of charge via PostFinance, and Swiss Post will cover all the fees involved in transferring money from a postal account to Swiss Solidarity.
Swiss Post will be pledging one million Swiss francs to Swiss Solidarity within the coming days to provide aid for the survivors of the devastating earthquake on the Caribbean island of Haiti. The funds will go towards the relief work of Swiss Solidarity and its 16 partner charities.
From 21 January until the end of February, PostFinance will also be offering Western Union payment transfers to Haiti without any additional charges, irrespective of the transfer amount. PostFinance customers can transfer their donations via Western Union online. With the help of Western Union, cash can be transferred across the globe within minutes.

Swiss Post has been a partner of Swiss Solidarity for many years. For fund-raising campaigns, Swiss Post pays all the fees involved in transferring money from a postal account to Swiss Solidarity.
