The Hasliberg Route leads through idyllic woods and delightful water landscapes. Discover some of Switzerland’s best sights, such as the Ballenberg open-air museum, and revel in pure enjoyment and year-round sportive action in Hasliberg.
In summer, from Brienz or Brünig-Hasliberg, the Hasliberg Route provides passengers a view of Switzerland’s largest open-air museum, namely Ballenberg. Brienz, adjacent to the attractive Brienz lake in the Bernese Oberland and famous for its traditional wood carvings is another beautiful spot- and one easily reached by rail or boat. And a stop at the imposing Giesbach falls on a boat ride from Interlaken represents yet another highlight on this scenic route. Families are particularly attracted to the unique Zwergenweg dwarf’s trail in Muggenstutz (PostBus stops Twing and Reuti) and the promises of fun and adventure for all. And there’s even more active fun in store!
The Haslital valley and sun-spoilt Hasliberg terrace are home to a large network of varied hiking paths – a part of which with superb views over the Engelhörner, the Wetterhorn group and notorious Eiger and Mönch summits.
In winter the Hasliberg Route connects to the Meiringen-Hasliberg winter sports region; where visitors enjoy the sunny side of life along with numerous sportive and relaxing activities. Active ski and snowboard fans are delighted at the sight of 60 kilometres of broad and well-prepared pistes – a part of which, covered with artificial snow, guarantee winter sports fun in the absence of the real stuff! Moreover, our smallest guests are well entertained with suitable Skihäsiland lifts and playground infrastructure – and the promise of additional pure and healthy fun is fulfilled in winter with a number of beautiful hiking paths, exciting sled runs and cross-country course.
