The Grimsel–Susten–Furka Pass Route departs from Oberwald railway station and carries you, on a spectacular 1-day round trip, over three mountain passes.
On the Grimsel Pass you have plenty of time to stop and enjoy panoramic views of the stunning mountain world (PostBus stop Grimsel Passhöhe) – And during a 1-hour stop in Meiringen, time to marvel at even more stunning scenery, as well as enjoy a bite of lunch (PostBus stop Meiringen, Bahnhof). The Grimsel Pass reveals even more unique views, together with artificial lakes that glisten in the bright light. (PostBus stop Grimsel Passhöhe). On the way to the Susten Pass you cross no less than 25 bridges and 25 tunnels, after which you discover, as just one extraordinary sight, the famous stone glacier (PostBus stop Steingletscher, Susten).
The top of the Furka Pass opens breathtaking views over the Gotthard Massif and Urserental valley; after which the route continues on the pass road to Valais, passing the might Rhone Glacier on the way. And those keen to experience something else pretty cool, shouldn’t miss out on a visit to the yearly-newly-built glacial grotto (PostBus stop Belvedere Furka).
