Places are limited. We therefore always recommend making a reservation ahead of time. Please pay special attention to this symbol Symbol: Bicycle carry-on in the official timetable : It means that you need to reserve available space in order to bring your bicycle with you.

Reservations are essential for groups of six people or more; please see relevant timetable for details:  www.official-swiss-timetable.ch.

Bicycle carry-on is possible on all routes in the Bernese Oberland, incl. the central Alps and Gotthard, Nufenen, Furka, Grimsel and Susten passes. Limited available space. Reservation required, see timetable. Bicycle routes 8 and 9. For details, see  www.cycling-in-switzerland.ch

In the central Alps and on other touristic routes such as Engstlenalp, Schwarzwaldalp, Griesalp, Axalp, Diemtigen, Suld and Lauensee, generally no transport of bike trailers or special bicycles is possible. If you are not sure about possible carriage, please contact the Interlaken Office.

Please note that we cannot currently transport e-bikes on bike racks in the Grissons region due to technical problems affecting safety.

Chur region routes

During the summer months, there is increased capacity for bicycle transportation (bike racks at the back of the bus). However, there is no guarantee of transportation. It is not possible to make reservations.

Route Chur–San Bernardino–Bellinzona (express routes)

The transportation of bikes is restricted. As an alternative, the regional buses running between Thusis–San Bernadino–Bellinzona (timetable 90.541) can be used. For connections between Chur and Thusis, please use the Rhätische Bahn.

Route Zernez–Müstair–Malles/Mals

Bicycle reservations are mandatory on this route. We are not able to guarantee carriage. The Route Express routes (107 and 118) are excluded from possible bike carriage.

Route St.Moritz–Menaggio–Lugano (Palm Express)

On the following lines in Eastern Switzerland Postbuses are equipped with bike racks during the summer period. Advance registration is recommended. Reservations are essential for groups of five people or more.
