The residential and economic area of Zurich is the most dynamic in Switzerland. This calls for more innovative, efficient and environmentally-friendly mobility options, which are ensured by the extensive service range from the Zürcher Verkehrsverbund (ZVV). PostBus makes a significant contribution as the third-largest partner of the ZVV.

Market responsibility

The PostBus region of Zurich has market responsibility for the Zürcher Unterland, Zürcher Weinland, Knonaueramt and Pfäffikon ZH/Winterthur-Land areas. This makes us the point of contact for 97 municipalities in Zurich for all public transport issues and for binding timetable planning.

As well as planning and producing transport services, we also undertake various management tasks for the overall public transport system in the canton of Zurich, such as:

  • Planning and implementing marketing projects for senior citizens and families
  • ZVV-TaxCenter: Customer advice, collections and ticket checks for the whole ZVV area, not including the City of Zurich and S-Bahn
  • Creation of graphical network and zone maps and other ZVV information materials
  • Distribution hub for ZVV printed matter
